Il est \u00e9lu Maire lors des municipales de 2008 et est r\u00e9\u00e9lu en 2014. Il quitte son mandat de Maire et le conseil municipal de Bell\u00eame \u00e0 la suite de son \u00e9lection comme S\u00e9nateur de l\u2019Orne en juillet 2018. Il est le suppl\u00e9ant de la D\u00e9put\u00e9e V\u00e9ronique Louwagie de 2012 \u00e0 2018.<\/p><p>En mars 2015, il est \u00e9lu Conseiller d\u00e9partemental du canton de Ceton en tandem avec Anick Bruneau.
